The stars on the hat Stjärnhimmel is inspired by a motif in the murals in Bromma church in Uppland, Sweden. The stencil-made stars decorate the skies in some painted biblical scenes, as in the presentation of Mary in the temple.
Instead of using ferric oxide red on white as in the paintings, I’ve choosen some other colourways: with stars shimmering in muted silver and pale bronze set against a white or bluish green ground, or with multiple colours against black. Stjärnhimmel means starry skies in Swedish.
Bromma Stjärnhimmel hat is available in one size. The hat has a more defined slouch on a smaller head. The circumference of the ribbing is approx 54-58 cm, depending of how much it is stretched and the choice of yarn.
